Ellen Pompeo Punk’d

Posted: Tuesday 27 December 2005 @ 2:44 pm by joecm

Ellen PompeoEllen Pompeo, you’ve been punk’d!!! The star of Grey’s Anatomy portrays a sweet girl that everybody loves, but I never knew how good an actress she was until I saw her tear up a waitress on the show. The premise of the joke was simple. Ellen and her fiancé, Chris, would have lunch at a restaurant and the waitress would flirt with him. Ellen would get jealous and the laughs would ensue. It all seemed innocent enough, but it was the strangest, not even funny bit I’ve ever seen on that show. And it was only made stranger with her Boston accent.

Below is a rough transcript of some of the crazier parts, you really need to see the show to understand however:

(Chris and Ellen arrive and order. During the order, the waitress calls him “honey” which really seemed to bother Ellen. When the waitress leaves the following happens)

(Ellen at this point looks really annoyed and Chris begins laughing)

Ellen: “Honey”, is she kidding? I think she’s got too much makeup on and it is affecting her thought process.

Chris: Baby, I think you need to relax, okay? She’s just trying to get her tip, probably.

Ellen: I have a tip for her, less foundation. Otherwise, there is a Greyhound bus leaving for vegas at 4:30. She could probably catch it if she hurries.

(The waitress returns and brings the food. She compliments Chris on his hat and asks about it. The waitress then says, “That is a bad-ass hat. It looks great on your by the way.” She then leaves and the following happens. )

Ellen: I… I don’t understand. I really honestly don’t understand it.

Chris: Don’t understand what?

Ellen: I don’t understand why she would think it is okay to keep talking to you like this.

Chris: What do you want me to say? “Don’t talk to me.”? I haven’t said a word.

Ellen: I hope you are spending every waking minute thinking about how you are going to make this up to me. Because right now, you are in so deep.

Chris: Wow, I really [bleeped] it up today, huh?

Ellen: Yeah, you really did

Chris: Now you want to ignore me.

Ellen: I just can’t believe this broad is sweating you like this at this table. Like, it is hysterical to me. Like, is she not expecting me to stab her? Because I could. (starts laughing) The blood can trickle down and she can lay there and the Los Feliz police can come and take her away. And the foundation can all smudge off cause the blood is dripping down.

Chris: Come on baby, stop it.

Ellen: Her eye makeup will be smeared all over the place. There will be lipstick all over the sidewalk where her face was pressed against the cement.

Chris: You are really starting to lose it. Stop it.

(The waitress returns to collect the food. Ellen comments about how the food wasn’t good and the waitress leaves to get the check. She hands the check to Chris and says, “Here you go sweetie”)

Ellen: It is almost like she is pushing me. I am trying so hard not to make her run away and cry.

Chris: Right, Maybe she needs attention. You know, that is why she is doing it.

Ellen: Oh, she’ll get attention. She’ll get four prongs, right in her clavicle.

(The waitress returns to with a free piece of cake for the $200 tip that the fiancé gave. Ellen flips out a bit and the bit is finally over.)

Ehm..could be just my sense of humor, but I think I actually like Ellen Pompeo even more than before. Okay the stabbing a bit overboard but otherwise she cracked me up. The part with Greyhound was the best ever.

I actually saw this punk’d and it is soooo funny and she’s not being a cow, she’s just joking , it’s her sense of humor. I always loved her as maridith on Grey’s and now i love her more as a person and not just an actress. I like her more. She’s just got a wicked sense of humor and an over active imagination. she does’nt flip out, she handles it quite well, Chris uses her credit card to pay the bill and tips the waitress $200 (with her ard) after the waitress has been flirting the whole time, i think any girlfriend would behave A LOT worse. she just makes weird / funny / sarcastic comments and laughs about it. she is amazing.

i actually just caught the rerun of this…i can’t believe how rude she was! OMFG. There is no reason some one should ever be that spiteful. Flirting with the guy or not! I really don’t think she was joking…..she just got caught being a first class B…which we can now accurately call her. Thank you Ellen. For the clarification.

I rekon she knew about it… do u think if that happened normally and her boyfriend told her she was going mental all the time they would actually still be together… dont think so. And if she didnt know about it.. damn, i wish i could come up with the things she said on the spot, it was so snappy and quick thinking, And havnt we all gone a little over the top every now and again… mabey he flirts with a lot of women, or she was just havin a bad day. Ellen rocks man!!

THAT WOMAN IS INSANE! I fully agree with Dee Dee and Cass.

I can’t even fully convey how DISGUSTED I was while watching that clip. She was not JOKING and it actually infuriated me to see how DESPICABLE of a human being Ellen Pompeo truly is!

Honestly, what GOOD person could fully imagine killing someone and describe it in such vivid detail HAPPILY LAUGHING the entire time as if the topic of stealing away another human being’s life is FUNNY?

I mean she actually LAUGHS about how ‘her lipstick would stain the cement’ or that the blood would pour over her foundation filled face.

I can understand being jealous about your boyfriend, fiance or husband but that waitress didn’t even do a very good job of flirting! And in any case, it does not justify talking about KILLING HER!

It just irks me how all the while, she was just laughing nonchalantly as if it was okay for her to talk about how she would kill her. She actually sounded EVIL. Her fiance even tried to stop her because at least HE realized that what she was saying was not funny at all.

And for all the people that actually found this to be funny, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? People go to JAIL for talking about killing other people!
Obviously you haven’t seen the clip, otherwise you’re just as bad as her!

Please, I would like to invite anyone to watch the clip on muchmusic.com (under PUNK’D) and explain to me how any part of her conversation is funny at all!
I’m sorry if some don’t agree but frankly I don’t find talking about MURDERING someone humorous in any way!

Ashley, you couldn’t have said it any better. I agree with your point 100%! didn’t find any part of this clip remotely funny. Her being a celebrity or not, it doesn’t make sense for anyone with a heart to describe even in pretense that she would want to hurt another person and going into such vivid detail nonetheless. If a waitress flirted with my fiance, I would think that she is immature and inconsiderate but I would never conjure up any death related thoughts. I don’t know of anyone who’s in my life who would even think this way or say such things. To those who commented above, why would one need to protect her fiance from the waitress? If it were my fiance , I know that I would be with someone smart enough to know that the waitress is immature and whose behavior is inappropriate and he and I would just talk about how her approach being wrong but I can’t imagine dwelling on the issue at hand. I think Ellen Pompeo is deep down insecure with herself and feels the need to put others down to make herself look more superior. I like watching Punk’d because you can really see the celebrities’ true colors. If you want to watch the clips of celebrities who have big hearts and are selfless, watch the episode with Serena Williams and the one with Joss Stone.

I thought I hated that whiny needy girl from Grey’s. Ellen is a TOTAL bitch. I don’t care who you are, you don’t ….ugh. I’m so disgusted that anyone would act like that.

I was not only disgusted by her conversation but I was disgusted by how when she realized that Chris gave her a 200.00 tip (and the waitress thanks them because she can now visit her sister in Florida who just had a baby) Ellen doesn’t care. Instead of being gracious about the mistake and realize she is helping someone who obviously needs the money, she gets petty. She tells her it is a mistake and the tip is only 20.00. Then she goes on to remind Chris how he used HER credit card to pay for it. What a crappy person.
